1 cup shorting
2 eggs
2 teaspoons water
1 cup brown sugar - packed
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup white flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
3 cups old fashion oats
1 - 12 ounce mini cinnamon chips - can use butterscotch
In a large bowl, with a mixer on medium speed, cream together shorting, eggs, water and both sugar's. Mix in flour, salt and soda. Add oat, mix well then stir in chips.
Spoon about a tablespoon of oatmeal cookie dough on to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake. remove oatmeal cookies from the oven cool for 3 minutes, remove onto a wire rack. Repeat and bake remaining oatmeal cookie dough. Store in a cookie jar or a air tight container.
